Enter your website and get a ready-to-publish llms.txt — a plain-text guide that tells ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity what your business does and which pages matter.
A Markdown file at yoursite.com/llms.txt, proposed at llmstxt.org. It starts with your site’s name and a one-paragraph summary, then lists your most important pages with a short note on each, so an AI assistant can understand the site without crawling all of it.
It isn’t a Google ranking factor, and AI companies haven’t said how much they use it. It’s a small, free file that gives assistants an accurate description of your business in your own words — worth the five minutes, but not a replacement for good content.
# Business name > One or two sentences on what you offer and to whom. ## Services - [Page title](https://yoursite.com/page): what's on the page ## Optional - [Privacy policy](https://yoursite.com/privacy)
No. robots.txt tells crawlers what they may visit; llms.txt describes what’s worth reading. If robots.txt blocks AI crawlers, llms.txt can’t help — check your robots.txt first.
